It was the strangest thing to see a large maned wolf lay on the edge of a fountain that no longer spurted out water. His fur seemed a brighter shade of orange against the grey stone but this was to his advantage. He liked to stand out and look different. Certainly he had not met another like him in the time that he had spent in this new place. That made him feel content. If there had been others of his kind there then he would not have been as unique. That would never do. Not at all. You see, Puck was a very vain creature at heart and he liked to be the centre of attention.
A lazy yawn escaped his muzzle unbidden as he lay enjoying the sun on his back. It was a comfortable life that he lead with no responsibilities or worries. He was his own person with no pack alpha to answer to. He chuckled to himself at the thought of ever taking orders. As if that was ever going to happen! Amber-brown eyes were half closed, reflecting his lazy mood. He had little intention of moving from his resting spot any time in the near future. He had hunted the previous night which meant he was free to spend most of the day doing nothing without his peace being shattered by troublesome pangs of hunger.
His large ears twitched as a fly landed on one. The movement sent it buzzing away once more. Puck smirked at this, the one moment of control he had. The tip of his bushy tail flicked from side to side in a mirror of his mood. Surely this gloriously sunny day could not get any better? He certainly hoped that it was not going to deteriorate either. He would not be amused if anything ruined his light and pleasant mood. He may be a crowd pleaser but he did enjoy a rare moment alone.

They always said that a lady kept her mouth closed, kept her head down, and only spoke when she was spoken to. Lucky for Jynx, she was no lady. She spoke when she wanted, she made a show of everything, and rarely kept her mouth shut. The ginger husky found herself wandering around this strange place she had stumbled upon. Her paws lightly danced over the cracked, decaying stone below her and a faint click sound could be heard from her claws striking the stone. Jynx held her skull high and had a light smirk playing across her pale labrums. She twitched her tale with her proud stride. Her pale blue orbs flitted around the surrounding habitat. The bitch was bored and she needed someone to distract her from herself. She passed by an alley way on her stroll and saw a family of cats digging in garbage and just for fun she chased them all out into the open with several loud yet raspy barks. She trotted back out of the alley and shook herself to fluff her fur back up. She continued on her journey at a trotting pace now.
The sun beat down on her crimson back and Jynx felt the heat. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth and she slowed back to a walk to cool off. Her thick coat absorbed all the heat it could and it was a hazard in the summer. She paused for a moment and looked around. She seemed to be in the center of some abandoned town. She thought it was ignorant of humans to spend so much time building things up. Time would always return things to nature, the buildings would crumble and the grass and trees would consume the ruins. Jynx Pondered on this for a moment before something caught her icy eyes. She smirked and trotted toward a bright orange form on an old decrepit fountain. Jynx inhaled deeply and could scent that this creature was different and finally the scent registered. The brute was a wolf of some kind. Jynx had met her fair share of them out in the wilderness. She slinked up to the fountain and hopped up near the drowsed wolf. Her voice was low and flirtatious as always. "Hmmm, did someone have a late night last night?" Her lyrics were released into the air and he could take them however he wanted. She seated herself and draped her tail over her left flank and smirked at the wolf.

His ears perked as an unknown female spoke to him. He words made her chuckle. Well well she was an interesting one, sparking up conversation so easily. This could certainly be fun for him. He noted that she was smaller than him, but the again most dogs were. He remained lay down since he felt more comfortable that way. A male with manners would have at least sat up to greet her but who said that Puck had manners? Still he lifted his gaze up to meet her own as he spoke, "Not as such, just the result of laying in the sun." His voice was deep with a charming little drawl to it. He was too self assured to care what he sounded like anyways.
Puck took in her scent for a moment so he would remember it later. It was always a good plan to recognise those you were acquainted with by their scent alone. Besides, if he had to remember her face and her name he would be in trouble. His memory would fail him on at least one count, no doubt about it. At least this way he had some hope of recalling what to call her. Speaking of which... "Name's Puck." He knew he'd been forgetting something. How rude of him not to put a name to his fabulous self.
With a contented little sigh he sat up, curling his bushy orange and black tail around his paws. Large ears perked up on top of his head as he awaited her name. Well he might as well add a little charm in whilst he was at it, "Bet yours is just as pretty as you are." Such a charmer. A wolfish grin curved over his muzzle. No pun intended, of course, but he was a wolf after all.

Jynx let a smile replace her usual smirk as the wolf begain to laugh. He stayed down and honestly that made Jynx happy and hopeful. It most likely meant he wasn't one of those annoying brutes that treated the femmes like the were angels. She hated them, they were too worried about stepping on toes to have any real fun and Jynx grew bored with them quickly. A small laugh escaped her as she spoke again. "Well what a shame, I was hoping to hear some interesting tail of late night adventure and such." Her smirk returned as she looked over the wolf, she met his gaze as he looked up and her head tilted so slightly it was barely noticable. She always did that, she had no idea why. When someone looked in her eyes her head just tilted to the side. Jynx could care less, it was a part of her that made her different. She flicked her tail lazily and looked over the wolf while she could. He was larger than her and his coat was unusual for most wolves. It was a beautiful color though.
His name was Puck, Jynx would remember that. Names and faces came easy to her, her memory was sharp. She filed it away in the back of her mind and let her flirty voice carry once again. "Well, well, Puck, aren't we the little charmer?" She smiled at him before revealing her own calling. "They call me Jynx, I personally think it does my looks justice, it's a pleasure to meet you." A playful smirk played upon her features and she let her eyes meet his again and her ears pricked up. This wolf was certainly better than any up tight, over protective dog. She'd never met one like him either. Her past experiences with wolves were never pleasant. Often they were cruel and usually hurt her physically and that was the only way to hurt her anymore. Jynx was strong though and she recovered. She stopped thinking about it and let her mind focus on the brute in front of her.

Oh now wasn't Jinx just the interesting little one? Puck was quite content with talking to her for the time being. Few others he had met had captured his interest in such a way. He listened to her talking and smiled knowingly. Well of course he was a charmer it was how he functioned. It was good to know that his charm was not lost on others especially one such as her. "Tis a lovely name all the same," he replied in a casual manner, shrugging slightly. Jinx, eh? Well she could certainly bewitch him any time she wanted.
Puck was never going to be one to hurt another if he had no real reason to. He was a bastard at times but still he had no malice in him. Not really. He shifted slightly, curling his tail the other way around him. It was pleasant to have company once more since he had spent so long alone on his wanderings. "So what brings you here, lovely?" Ok so that is another thing about Puck. He tends to adopt petnames for the ladies he meets. Somehow he gets away with it with a flash of that cheeky smile of his. Ah the joys of being Puck.
A gentle breeze ruffled his orange fur making it seem almost like dancing flames. He smiled as he thought of this but said nothing of it. He kept many of his odd thoughts to himself incase he was thought to be.. well, strange. Just because he was an oddity did not mean that everyone had to know so. Let's just call it his dirty little secret, eh?

Jynx was certainly a fitting name for the vix. She often met males and left them broken and begging for more. It was what they taught her to do all those years ago in that awful pack. Lead them on, get them hooked, and leave them begging for more. Jynx hated the fact she ever wound up there. She has no idea what kind of female she could've been had her personality not been manipulated in such a way. She put all her tricks aside with Puck though. He wasn't the sort of proud, noble, boring male she could toy with anyway. He had personality and she liked that fact. She also enjoyed Puck's company, like she'd noted before he wasn't like the other brutes around here and it was refreshing. Her tail flicked gently back and forth as a warm smile crept across her insets. "Why thank you, dear." She blinked her icy blue eyes and looked around for a moment then back at Puck.
Why had Jynx come here? She really hadn't intended to end up here, but she was happy she had. It had put entertainment into this otherwise dull and slow day. She pondered for a moment and then spoke again. "Well, I was just wandering, looking for something to do. I noticed you here alone and thought I might birghten up your day with my company. What brought you here today, hun?" She smirked. Jynx probably came across as a self-centered bitch, but she could care less. She was confident is all it was and if people had mistaken that for bitchiness, that was their own fault. She learned early that confidence was key in life and Jynx liked the feeling that came with the confidence. She watched as the breeze ruffled Puck's fur and smirked. She felt the wind blow through her own fur and sighed contentedly.
